London Academy...

A new initiative designed for a niche in the market for swimming lessons. This academy is not designed for beginners rather aimed at children and adults that have reached development level.

Candidates who can swim at least 25 Metres on two strokes and wish to improve their technique on those strokes and progress further on other strokes. This will be achieved in a coaching group.

There is also a provision for one to one instruction where swimmers wish to brush up on a particular skill.

After swimming competitively during childhood reaching National Standard and more recently working in a coaching environment for 10 years with international level coaches and athletes we are in a good position to help you achieve your dreams in the aquatic environment.

It doesn’t end there since, with a wealth of experience being passed down the generations in the swimming pool via my father who has been a coach for over 50 years, we really are ready to help you with all facets of swimming training whether it be Aerobic and Anaerobic fitness or maybe Stroke Technique. Water skills, team building and land conditioning also receive attention.

Some swimmers find themselves plodding up and down at their local pool keeping fit whilst missing out on technical feedback from a qualified coach. As a result their swimming becomes inefficient and invariably they lack the ability to swim other strokes to a higher level. The London Academy can help to steer you in the right direction.

Many individuals find themselves stuck in catch 22 where they want to improve their technique and or fitness but have exhausted their local swim schools which have taken them to a level which they themselves now wish to build on.

Some swimmers don’t wish to join a swimming club but still wish to recieve advice from a qualified swimming coach which they can take ideas from to help improve technique.

Many other sports rely on aerobic fitness and it is well documented that swimming can provide excellent all over body fitness whilst at the same time have a low risk of injury such as running or cycling can cause over prolonged periods. Swimming is also the ideal complement for any sport.
